New Droid RAZR now available on Verizon Wireless. See the news here: Verizon Wireless Motorola Droid RAZR The Motorola Razr along with its many spinoffs, was once considered one of the hottest new cell phones on the market. The razr seems dated now, as most users have moved onto next generation smartphones, but the razr was very popular for quite some time. Here are some pages about the various razrs that peaked in popularity around 2006-2007:
Online vendors carry a wide selection of Motorola cell phones from all the major carriers like ATT Mobile, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint, and Nextel Direct. The Motorola Razr was a successful phone that originated with the V3 and later included versions such and the V3i and V3x. Razrs were
available initially for Cingular, which eventually became AT&T. Different versions of this and other Motorola cell phones became available for Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and Alltel.
Colors included silver, grey, magenta, hot pink, pink, blue, and black.
Motorola continues to manufacture many popular phones, including many new generation smartphones.

Multifunction Cell Phones or multimedia wireless phones known as smartphones have been steadily increasing in popularity for the last several years. While AT&T offers many smartphones, including Motorola Phones like the DROID, DROID 2, and Motorola DROID X, this trend developed before the current existance of ATT Wireless. In fact Cingular Wireless was one of the leaders in sales of smartphones by Motorola. Verizon Wireless also established itself as a carrier of smart phones with models like the Motorola Q, Motorola Droid RAZR, and Motorola Q International on Verizon. Now T-Mobile is in the game with phones like the Motorola CLIQ.
Motorola is far from the only wireless phone manufacturer in existence and there are a lot of carriers in addition to ATT Mobility and Verizon Wireless. Blackberry continues to be a strong and in demand cell phone, as well as HTC, Nokia, Samsung, LG, and Pantech among others. Many of the providers are offering their own branded phones with model numbers containing the wireless provider's brand rather than a manufacturer like Motorola. Some companies like Nokia have fallen behind as most consumers have transitioned to smartphones and data plans. Cell phones that provide many functions and fuller internet and multimedia communication capabilities are the future.
